November 17 – German Wheat Beers (AHA)
Summer's long past, but we know you've got a favorite Hefeweizen recipe waiting in the wings. Show the us what your prized wheat beer is made of and we'll send the cream of the crop to the American Homebrew Association's Club Only Competition! Any BJCP Category 15 beer is eligible. As always, the popular vote is judged informally, but the brew that goes to the AHA will be selected by a panel of BJCP certified judges.

December 15 – Cacao Nibs (Challenge Ingredient)
Are you cuckoo for cacao nibs?! The key ingredient in your favorite treat, cacao nibs are actually the crushed seeds from the cacao plant. Make the best use of this chocolately adjunct and you just might win this challenge competition!

January 19 – Dark Lager (AHA)
Whether its your darkest Dunkel or your blackest Schwarzbier, the cold month of January is a great time to enjoy a malt-forward brew. In addition to our popular vote, a panel of BJCP judges will select one beer to go to the American Homebrew Association's Club Only Competition this month. Join the dark side!

February 16 – Fruit! (Challenge Ingredient)
This Valentine's, whip up a brew that special someone will absolutely adore! The challenge this month is fruit and it's time to get creative! This can be a broad category, but the brewer that implements their choice fruit the best will enjoy the spoils of triumph!

March 15 – Stout (AHA)
As the cold weather wanes, your bold winter brews may be in short demand. Hopefully you've stockpiled your favorite Stout because only the best will be selected by the BJCP judges to go to the AHA competition this month.

April 19 – Scottish and Irish Ale (AHA)
According to the BJCP definitions, this competition will span five specific styles, so choose wisely! Will you brew the modest Scottish Light? Or perhaps the elegant balancing act of the Irish Red Ale is more your fancy. Maybe you'd just rather go all in and brew a high gravity Strong Scotch Ale? The choice is yours, but only one will go on to the AHA competition!

May 17 – Honey (Challenge Ingredient)
This is surely the most widely interpretable challenge ingredient we're throwing at you this season, so make it a good one! Explore a lesser known style, such as the Braggot, or submit your best aged mead. We're excited to see your interpretation of this versatile addition!

June 21 – Pre-Hopped Kits
Certainly a true test of ingenuity. Take your favorite pre-hopped kit (or one you've never tried before) and make it your own! In this challenge, you may alter any process or add any ingredient with the one exception that you may not add grains. Best of luck and have fun with this one!
