What:            The “War of the Worts” Homebrew Competition.  This year marks the seventh consecutive (holding) of the War of the Worts.  The War of the Worts has become the largest homebrew competition in the Delaware Valley.  Last year’s competition had 249 entries and this year is shaping up to be equally as large.  Homebrewers from the Delaware Valley and across the country enter their beers, meads (honey wine) and hard cider for evaluation and judging.  Prizes and ribbons are awarded for the highest scoring beers, meads and ciders.  The War of the Worts is an officially sanctioned competition of the American Homebrew Association (AHA) and the Beer Judge Certification Program (BJCP)

 

When: Saturday February 22, 2003.  First session judging begins between 9:30 AM and 10 AM, Second session of judging begins at approximately 1PM, best of show judging should start between 3PM and 3:30 PM and the awards ceremony which is open to the public starts between 4:30 PM and 5 PM.

Who:  The War of the Worts is run by the Keystone Hops Homebrew Club and sponsored by Keystone Homebrew Supply.  Delaware Valley beer related businesses, and national suppliers of homebrew supplies donate prizes and sponsorships.
